I had it all planned out to take a darling picture of my mother in law with my kids...go get the camera and the battery is dead. I have done that twice this week, not to mention the time I went to take a shot away from home and the battery was not in there at all!
Photography: A Nikon battery will usually last for 850 shots...unless you leave it on all night as it uploads like I always do.

That is my worst fear!! Especially with paying clients! I now own three batteries which I keep charged at all times..and if I do forget one, the other two are there to save me!
Before I leave the house I ALWAYS turn my camera on (sometimes 3 or 4 times) to see 1. If it turns on at all and 2. If the screen tells me my memory card is in (which I also own 4 of)!!
